The FSB – Federation of Small Businesses – is the largest UK group that represents small businesses, providing a range of business services and giving them a powerful voice in government.

The Celebrating Small Business Awards showcases the best small businesses from all over the UK, giving national recognition to businesses making an impact over the last 12 months.

Opus Energy COO, Nikki Flanders, who will be presenting the award at the National Finals for Scale-Up Business of the Year, commented:

“The Federation of Small Businesses is such an important body that gives a voice to our small and medium businesses. Opus Energy works with many SMEs up and down the country, so we’re incredibly proud to be a partner to help shine a light on their achievements.

“The contributions of small businesses cannot be underestimated, and we’re thrilled that we can play a part in celebrating their entrepreneurial spirit.”

Opus Energy is sponsoring categories in four regions in the semi-final regional awards, and one category at the national awards ceremony:

Regional Semi-Finals

East Midlands – Scale-Up Business of the Year

Wales – Young Entrepreneur of the Year

London – Scale-Up Business of the Year

South East – Digital Business of the Year

Opus Energy supplies energy to more than 315,000 customer sites across the UK, and being specialists in business energy, we know what’s important to our customers. We know how much time and effort small business owners put into their work, and we’re honoured to be playing a part in recognising their accomplishments.

As a multi-award-winning supplier, our competitive rates and friendly customer service are just two of the reasons that 90% of businesses stay with us after their contract ends (not to mention our large proportion of renewable energy). It’s also why we were named Utilities Provider of the Year 2017 at the British Small Business Awards.

The national finals take place this May 2018 – watch this space to find out which businesses will walk away with the trophy!
